It never fails-every year between Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve,one of my favorite all time movies,A Christmas Story, will air umpteen times on various channels, and I am watching it as I type-Ralphie just dropped the "F" bomb and his mom flips out and sticks a bar of soap in his mouth! That and those awful hound dogs destroying the family turkey are just hilarious moments.I actually saw a catalog somewhere that sells "leg lamps",what Ralphie Parker referred to as "electric sex" & what a great conversation piece that would be in the home!LOL
There are probably not many people who HAVENT seen this movie, but if you havent you owe it to yourself to take advantage of it being on Tv for the next month and enjoy! Its a modern classic!

Oh yeah! Thats the tradition in my house. We watched Christmas Vacation and then last night we got A Christmas Story on TNT in HD. Superfly, superphat. On Christmas eve, TNT usually runs a 24 hour marathon of ACS.
Favorite scene, the triple dog dare to lick the cold pole and Flick's tongue is stuck to the pole. Classic.
Its just too hard to pick a favorite scene huh?LOL-"Fa-rah-rah-rah-rah,rah-rah-rah-rah!
OK...here goes. The razors_edge tell all. Every year starting with Halloween, we sit down as a family and watch these during the appropriate "season":
It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, A Charlie Brown Christmas, Frosty the Snowman & Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.
They're classics. Now that our kids are older, they sit in with us on A Christmas Story and Christmas Vacation.
Kinda corny but with such busy lives, we never seem to do enough as a family unit. This isn't the only thing we do as a group but are traditions that we will hopefully continue for many years.
