RIP Dan Fogelberg"We drank a toast to innocence"

Singer and songwriter Dan Fogelberg died at his home in Maine this morning at age 56 after fighting prostate cancer since 2004.His last album was produced in 2003 and he had planned a fall tour in 2004 until his diagnosis.
He was a 70's soft rock icon, best known for "The leader of the band" and one of the most beautiful songs in the history of music IMO,"Same Old Lang Syne".He released his 1st album in 1972 and scored several platinum and multiplatinum records with his storytelling style of song.
He leaves behind his wife,Jean, who was with him til the very end.Rest in peace,Dan-your songs still make me cry!

Just caught his appearance on Soundstage, a PBS show. Brings back many good feelings of times when he got a lot of airplay accross a wide variety of radio stations. A great talent indeed. I for one will surely miss him. Not sure of the date on the show - 1994 maybe?
