The Clark County,Nevada coroners office has confirmed that Kevin Dubrow,former frontman of Quiet Riot who died at home in Vegas on November 25th,died of an accidental cocaine overdose.Quiet Riots 1983 album "Metal Health" was the first by a metal band to hit #1 on the charts and is still on the playlist of many an aging headbanger to this day.While the toxicology results do not suprise me,I have to wonder why anyone would use a drug that is so dangerous and easy to overdose on.Considering he was 52 years old,any amount of cocaine would not be beneficial to his heart but why did he keep using that day until it overcame him?The world will never know....
